SearchIMDB: Firefox Addon

by Prashant Kumar Sharma

is a simple extension that searches the highlighted text in IMDB. This Add-on has simply saved my many hours of work by simply saving me of copying, opening IMDB in new tab and pasting the name of movie in it for a search.

For those who are unaware,  The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) is a HUGE collection of movie information.  A catalog with every pertinent detail about a movie, from who was in it, to who made it, to trivia about it, to filming locations, and even where you can find reviews and fan sites on the web.

So what does it do ?

When there is highlighted text, a new option is added to the context menu. This option searches the highlighted text in “The Internet Movie Database” (IMDB).

The search results can be opened in:

  • The current tab.
  • A new tab.
  • A new window.

  1. OK cool to see- informed blogs are always helpful! Peace.

  2. I don’t believe in any of this nonsense if it was that detrimental to my body wouldn’t I have serious health problems by now?
