Hook, Line, and Sinker – Indeed !

Webhooks WordPress Illustration

This week, on 14th April 2010, announced the addition of webhooks as a new feature for blogs.

So what it does, it lets you add webhooks to WordPress, duh !

IT actually provides an easy way to develop push notifications when various events happen on your blog (like publishing a post or new comment for instance).

Simply put, Push Notification = HTTP POST (triggered by some action). It can be used to get data from actions that occur on a blog (like when a new comment is submitted).

You can now find this under the Settings Module in the dashboard.

Armored (2009)
Armored (2009)Since I first saw the trailer of this movie I was longing to see it. Interesting backdrop, Impressive casting was something I hadn’t seen for some time.

With the likes of Matt Dillon(Mike), Jean Reno(Quinn), Laurence Fishburne(Baines), Amaury Nolasco(Palmer), Fred Ward(Duncan Ashcroft), I was expecting a treat for my aching murderous-maniac alter-ego. I was delighted when I started with Armoured right from beginning as saw every character in their right place, doing what they do best.

Warning: Now if you haven’t seen this movies you should discontinue reading as following text contain spoilers.

    Little Big Soldier

    by Prashant Kumar Sharma

Little Big SoldierDa bing xiao jiang (2010) OR Little Big Soldier (English title)

In the wise word of Old Soldier movie was ” Ting Hao De ” meaning ” Pretty good “.

A dream project of Jackie Chan playing “Big Soldier” for more than 20 years, i would say this was pretty good effort by Jackie Chan to put himself in mainstream acting roles rather than his comic bullet/punch dodging roles in the past and claim a position of good actor rather than a mere comedy/action mash-up star.

The plot is simple but is refreshing and

    Road to Perdition

    by pacificphp

Road to PerditionThis movie is one of my most favorite Mafia movies and I have watched it a number of times. According to me all the aspects of this movie are excellent and really it is worth watching. Although all the roles in this movie are excellent but the roles of Tom Hanks (father Michael Sullivan) and his 12 year old son Tylor Hoechlin(Miachael Sullivan Jr.) I like most. The director Sam Mendis has given a good emotional touch to the movie apart from showing the violent way of Mafia wars. The father Miachael Sr. works for his Mafia Boss as a prominent member of the gang and was duty bound to him. But a series of tragedic events takes place and Miachael’s younger son and wife are killed by his own Mafia gang . This makes him to run away with his older son in order to save him and take a revenge for killing his dear ones and here begins the road to peridtion which is travelled by a son and his father. So, in the end I conclude that this movie is truly a work of art and if you havent watched it , I must say that you are missing a great film.

Legion movie reviewi saw this comment somewhere and it was exactly how i would have, so here goes:

I wanted to like this film, the only problem was it had very large shoes to fill. The two films that comes to mind, are “Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight” with Billy Zane which tackled the whole “end of the world/standoff in diner/lone hero fighting alongside the little guys against a legion of bad guys” thing 10 times better and “The Prophecy” with Christopher Walken which tackled the whole “good angel versus bad angel/showdown on earth” thing 10 times better. Both came out in 1995 and while they didn’t have the special effects that this one had, they had a cohesive story, GREAT acting and believable characters.

The first hour or so is pretty good. The last 30 minutes is a rushed, hatchet job that will make you regret seeing this film.

    my rating: 6/10

    P.S. I Love You

    by Prashant Kumar Sharma

P.S. I Love YouTo tell you the truth I was little disheartened in the beginning of the movie (let me make it clear, it had nothing to do with the movie, it was a personal thing as I do not enjoy seeing someone mourning or in sorrow which was the basic plot of this flick) but as the movie proceeded, I was surprised by the way it touched the subject. The Joyful approach was unique to me and I feared it initially. Gerard butler has a thing going, and after watching few of his recent flicks I felt a little inclined toward this one, and I would say I wasn’t disappointed. I loved the basic story and the cast is beyond terrific. All the secondary characters played their part beautifully and the Irish touch made it magnificent. All in all this one is a addition to my list of favorite romantic movies with just a dash of comedy to make it a perfect one.
    would give 8/10

    Planet 51

    by Prashant Kumar Sharma

    Planet 51

Nice, funny movie with lots of clichés from all the famous ones; umm almost all alien movies I have seen till now, like alien, mars attack, independence day, etc. Characters are quite adorable and Martians were more human like inside than they appeared on the outside, a little air-headed though :).
A onetime watch, to enjoy on an otherwise boring evening.
    would give 6/10
